Lewise grants every child a carefree childhood and a safe haven.  

Our story began at the kitchen table, when founder Glenn van Laar and his wife realized how nerve-wracking it is to leave their son, who has a severe cow's milk allergy, in someone else's care. That concern grew into an idea: "What if important information were always instantly available, for anyone taking care of your child at that moment?".

Together with partner Arnoud Veldhuis, he developed the Lewise NFC bracelet: a smart, PFAS-free information carrier linked to a secure online environment. With one simple scan from a smartphone, the child's personal profile appears. Containing everything that really matters:

• What your child has
• What he or she may not eat
• What he or she may eat
• What to do in an emergency (the help plan)
• Who to call, parents, caregivers, and/or emergency services (the emergency button)

Our technology is tested, water and dust resistant, and works without a battery. No camera or separate app is needed. Only a mobile phone from 2006 onwards is required. We advise parents to base their information on reliable medical sources, such as those from hospitals, dietitians, nutritionists, and professional organizations like the Stichting Voedselallergie Nederland (Dutch Food Allergy Foundation).

What started as a solution for one family has grown into an innovative tool for many, all around the world.  With Lewise, we make life a little safer and give parents the peace of mind to let their children go on adventures with confidence. Everything for a carefree childhood!
